Habitat has outgrown my plywood box in the HomeMart. We are in need of free or affordable office space. Our need is for 4 offices currently: one for me, for an Administrative Assistant, an AmeriCorp/Vista volunteer and for a workroom. An old house, church basement, surplus office space, whatever, will be considered. If you know of anything, please let me know, 706-378-0030.
As business is picking up, parking is becoming more precious at the HomeMart. Therefore we are asking that persons other than shoppers park in the fenced in area to the left of the store. Volunteers, visitors to my office, and friends and family please honor this request so that we can accommodate more shoppers in front of the store and thereby raise more money for Habitat.
Volunteers are needed to help at the front desk of the HomeMart running the cash register. Training will be provided. Come weekly, monthly, or make your own schedule. For more information or to volunteer, call Angela, 706-378-5957.
The HomeMart has been doing very well, and as a result our furniture inventory is low. If you have been thinking about donating furniture to the store, now would be a great time. Pick up is available if needed. Of course we also welcome appliances, building materials, and anything else (except clothes) that will help raise funds for Habitat. The HomeMart is open Monday through Saturday from 9 – 5. For more info, call Angela at 706-378-5957.
